How to use the Starbucks referral code
Use the referral code during account registration. The referral link opens Starbucks Malaysia web registration; you can then sign in to the Malaysia app with the account you created.
- Open my Starbucks referral link, or start registration in the Starbucks Malaysia app.
- In the app, turn on Have a Referral Code? and enter C234F9-20BC73-6C83BB before completing registration. Check that the code is correct.
- Complete registration as a new Starbucks Rewards member. If you do not have a physical Starbucks Card, Starbucks says a virtual card is assigned when you register.
- Make your first purchase using your registered Starbucks Card or the Starbucks Malaysia app. A card reload on its own does not qualify.
- Allow 24 hours for the 100 Stars to arrive, then check Profile and History.
What can you redeem with 100 Starbucks Stars?
Starbucks Malaysia lists 100 Stars as enough to convert into 50% off one handcrafted beverage, including promotional beverages. It is a discount reward, not a free-drink referral offer.
Check the drink's availability with the barista before converting your Stars in the app. The converted reward is valid for 30 days from the date of conversion, and the conversion cannot be reversed or refunded.
- Pay in full using a registered Starbucks Card or the mobile app.
- Use one reward per transaction. It cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts.
- The reward cannot be redeemed through delivery or mobile ordering. Any modifiers must be paid for using your Starbucks Card or the app.
Who qualifies for the Starbucks referral reward?
The referral reward is for new users who do not already have a Starbucks Rewards account. Register with my code before your first qualifying purchase. Existing members cannot claim this new-member reward.
Creating an account, activating a card or reloading a card alone does not earn the 100 Stars. Redeeming a reward without making a purchase does not qualify either.
Birthday benefits are separate from this referral programme. Using the referral code does not itself award a birthday cake or a free beverage.
Missing referral field, forgotten code or missing Stars?
If you cannot see the referral field, check that you are registering in the Starbucks Malaysia app and look for the Have a Referral Code? switch. You can also use my referral link for web registration.
If you already completed registration without the code, contact Starbucks Malaysia before expecting a reward. The official FAQ does not confirm that a referral code can be added afterwards.
If the Stars are missing, check that you registered with the code and completed a purchase using a registered Starbucks Card or the Malaysia app. After 24 hours, contact Starbucks Malaysia Careline at 1300 80 8989 and keep your receipt and account details ready.

No. Registration, card activation or a card reload alone does not qualify. You must register with the referral code and make your first purchase using a registered Starbucks Card or the Starbucks Malaysia app. Redeeming a reward without a purchase does not qualify.
When will I receive the referral Stars?
The 100 Stars are credited within 24 hours after the qualifying first purchase. Check History under Profile in the Starbucks Malaysia app.
What should I do if my 100 Stars are missing?
Check your referral registration and first-purchase details. If 24 hours have passed after the qualifying purchase, contact Starbucks Malaysia at 1300 80 8989 or through its official contact page. Keep your receipt and account details ready.
Does 100 Stars mean a free Starbucks drink?
No. Starbucks Malaysia lists 100 Stars as a 50% discount on one handcrafted beverage, including promotional beverages. Convert the Stars in the app and follow the redemption conditions. Birthday benefits are separate.
Do Starbucks Stars or converted rewards expire?
Starbucks Malaysia says Stars do not expire while your Rewards account remains active. A reward converted from Stars is valid for 30 days from conversion. Check the expiry shown in the app before redeeming it.
Can I use the 50% reward for mobile orders or with another promotion?
No. The converted reward excludes delivery and mobile ordering and cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts. Use one reward per transaction and pay in full using a registered Starbucks Card or the app.
